Hello folks. Only a week to go until our International Women's Day Mountains Concert Celebration on March 8th. Four amazing acts on including Rachael Brady, Anne Ridgway, Rapt and Snez. Dropping in will be special guest Lara Taylor. Storyteller and writer from Sydney, sharing some of her original peices which is always a treat.
As some of you may well know International Women's
Day was born at time of social turbulence and crisis, originally called
International Working Women's Day, is marked on March 8
every year. In different parts of the world, the focus of the celebrations
ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women
to a celebration for women's economic, political and social achievements.1928 was the first celebration in Australia and
we’re still going strong into 2013.
