Snez E-News & Blog - show after thoughts

Thank you all so much for being part of the experience with me last night at the album launch. As I said last night, one of the most difficult parts of organising an independant show like that, is getting bums on seats, so thank you for supporting me in that way. Sometimes it's much easier to go to the movies, you know what you're getting at least! The vibe was great at the venue and very relaxed!

A massive thank you to the band - Chris Mearns, Lindsay Tebbutt, Simon Crosbie, Lester Ives and Stewart Peters. Special guest Gilberto Nova. And our wonderful and supportive crew - Dom Gannon, Warren Munce, Frances Carelton, Nathan Judd, Vicki Mearns. These people are the backbone of what I do, without them, I have nothing and I just want you to know that your help is very much appreciated. There's no money, but there's love : )

A review of our show??? Well I heard someone ask the question on the radio 'What's the worst show you've seen and whats the best show you've seen?' ... and a guy rang in and he said 'The best show I've seen was Bob Dylan in New York and the worst show I've seen was Bob Dylan in California'. Well....I think that was a bit like me last night....I feel like I did an OK job, but it wasn't one of my best. A little bit shabby!!!! The band was definately kicking along nicely. By the time I set up the PA, fixed the chairs, allocated seating, organised the catering and then seated everyone I was exhausted! Especially Stewart and I. I'm just being blatantly honest, but I'll leave that for you to judge, sometimes we're our own worst critics.

Throughout the week I'll post some video footage and pics of the night from photographs taken by Fran and video by Nathan.

Thanks once again for your support.
talk to you later

  1. My friend Linda Mizzi sent me this poem from Rumi, after reading my blog...I thought i would share it with you all

Oh soul, you worry too much.
You have seen your own strength.
You have seen your own beauty.
You have seen your golden wings.
Of anything less, why do you worry?
You are in truth the soul, of the soul, of the soul.
